My friend L came back from a month vacation in the Philippines with lots of adventure stories. His husband is into mountaineering so they were exploring several mountains in Luzon during their trip. She said that once, the place they hiked didn’t even have paved path, they have to cut off bushes as they were walking. She showed us the scar of the bruises she got from some thorny branches. L was the only lady among the group but she was able to match the strength of the guys. She complained of severe joint pain though after days of tiresome hiking. But I admire her cooperative attitude. Hehe She must love her husband very much to go with him to these kinds of trips. While other wives go to salons and spa during their vacation, she was out there in the wild, getting burned under the sun.

Seeing the pictures of their travel she posted in her FB, I can say that their effort was worth it coz the sceneries were really spectacular. One particular view I liked was the lake in the crater of Mt. Pinatubo. It encouraged me to go there someday…
