One of the many concerns about using computers in a public environment such as internet cafes is security of personal information. Some cafes cannot be trusted and could have some keylogger software installed which could catch your passwords and other vital information as you enter them online. This is why online sites dealing with personal information should be more secure in handling data. Some banking sites have onscreen keypad to bypass the keyloggers.
For online car insurance sites, privacy is still needed when people shop for vehicle coverage. Some people are hesitant about providing additional information such as driver’s license and other important ID numbers. While some car insurance sites can provide auto insurance quotes even with filling up the basic information, one’s driving record (tickets, road accidents, etc.) and the driver’s license details are very much important in order to obtain an accurate quote.
