I have a love/hate relationship with rugs.  They can be very comfortable to walk on (barefoot) especially on cold days, but they can also be difficult to clean.  Vacuuming them alone doesn’t guarantee cleanliness.  In fact, dust are more likely to stick on them. And whenever food crumbs or some wet food falls on them, washing the soiled part just doesn’t seem enough.  I want the whole thing washed!  That’s why I don’t really like to cover the whole room/rooms with rugs.  A little piece here and there to add accent to the room is better for me, and it’s easy to clean a small or medium piece of rug too.
