Yeah, here I am again after a week of silence.  You might think I was on a Holy Week retreat of some sort, but actually I was sick.  Well, you can say it gave me time to reflect but I still miss the church activities back in the Philippines.

Holy Week is a big event for Christians.  And personally, it’s my second next favorite religious event after Christmas.  I like the solemn ceremonies such as the blessing of water and fire on Easter Vigil  and I look forward in joining the the Visita Iglesia and the procession – with floats of like-sized statues of different people involved in the Passion of Christ.  Unfortunately, here in Europe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are like any other days.

So Lent has ended and we’re now celebrating Easter Sunday – Christ’s triumphant resurrection from the dead! Happy Easter to all!
