
I love eating fresh tomatoes especially before they become too ripe coz they’re crisp to chew. Tomato is rich in lycopene which is an anti-oxidant that helps in fighting cancer cells. Fresh, cooked or canned, tomatoes don’t lose their nutritional value unlike other vegetables whose nutrients gets destroyed in heating process. In fact, cooking tomatoes allows them to give out more of tyheir health benefits. To get the best out of tomatoes, be sure to pick those with bright red colors which indicates high amounts of betacarotene and lycopene.
