Okay this is just a follow up to my previous post regarding some beliefs about euphorbias causing cancer. What can you say about this kind of thinking? And what about those old wives’ tales or superstitious beliefs that range from just plain weird to funny and amusing?

For example, we met an acquaintance at the market and she was telling us about a recent death in the family, and that she hadn’t taken a bath for days! Yikes! She explained that she was just following the “wisdom of the olds” that one should not take a bath when somebody has died in the family and hasn’t been buried yet. Oh my, so that explains why she wasn’t looking good (and smelling good) that time. We sort of scolded her for believing that nonsense and told her to go take a bath ASAP! LOL.

How about you? Any amusing superstitious beliefs that you know? Well, me I can list down a LOT… but maybe I’ll just reserve that for the next posts. Happy weekend and stay away from black cats early in the morning!!!
