Brrrrr! Fall is here again and few months from now, I’ll be experiencing my third winter away from home. Sigh. I have arranged my closet again and put away my summer clothes. My indoor wear has changed slightly as well, now I’m wearing tees and sometimes pajamas instead of my favorite tank top and shorts. I’m glad the heater is working well enough to warm me for the coming cold months ahead. So much for being frugal!

Incidentally, my family back home in the tropics informed me that the weather over there is getting cold as well since it’s the start of the ‘ber’ (brrrr) months. Sis told me it’s been raining yesterday and today the skies are cloudy. Well at least they won’t need a fan to cool themselves – just open the windows and cool fresh air would come in. That means a lot of savings in electricity! :)

I’m glad that our house has been well-designed such that the indoors are cool despite the hot tropical weather especially during summer. Our living room opens to the garden with glass sliding doors, and all bedrooms have windows on two sides. During summer though, the bedrooms at the second floor gets too warm for comfort and could use some artificial cooling such as a Trane air conditioner installation. During evenings, the upper rooms are much colder than the rooms in the ground floor.
