Mobile communications has its advantages for both calling and texting. There are times when calling is more convenient like when you’re in a hurry or you want to convey instructions or your thoughts immediately and hearing what the other person has to say in reply. On the other hand sending SMS can be time-consuming but it can be done like when you’re in a crowded place where you don’t want other people to know what you have to say to the recipient. Or like when you’re in a middle of a crime scene and you don’t want to alert the suspect by letting him hear you call the police or else you might become his next target. You can silently call for help by sending SMS.

In this regard, SJA Mobile has teamed up with the FBI’s Washington D.C. Field Office and the Metropolitan Police to allow residents in the area to report crime tips without revealing their identity. All they have to do is text the police if they want to report crime tips and still save themselves from getting involved. Sometimes there are witnesses who are afraid to come out personally for fear of their lives but with this medium where they can inform the police with crime tips and still protect their identity and safety, its a big help in solving crimes and catching criminals.

SJA is a company that provides businesses with mobile technology solutions for marketing, billing, web and mobile content delivery markets. They plan to expand this current project with the FBI to other major cities in the US and hopefully service more citizens.
