While watching the news on TV the other day, I saw in small text something like “Sharapova had a big scare in windy Paris”. I got curious what it was about. Did she have an accident in Paris? Well, I found out when I searched for the news online that it wasn’t a physical accident she was close to facing, but a close defeat had she not try harder and fought her way back against -Russian player Evgeniya Rodina. Whew! Imagine a top player being defeated by an opponent who’s ranked 102 places down in the WTA standings.

Go, hit it!

I’m sure these matches are not missed by my brother who’s a die-hard fan of tennis sports. This sports is his stress-buster; a round of game with his friends hitting those green balls with their Wilson tennis racquets or whatever head racquets they own. They usually play at night after their work or during weekends donning their tennis attire; nike shirt with new balance tennis shoes. If you don’t find them in the court, they might be in front of the TV watching tennis tournaments. Since the French Open 2008 is on, they’re most likely stuck to their TV sets cheering for their favorite players.

Anyway, the tennis beauty Sharapova admitted that she almost failed in the match with Evgeniya Rodina and vowed to improve in the coming games. Her next match is against American Bethanie Mattek. We’ll see if Sharapova will improve and nail down her opponent again. Go Maria! We’re watching you!
